Dr. Mickey Carter

Pastor Emeritus

Landmark Baptist Church

Dr. Mickey Carter was the pastor of Landmark Baptist Church in Haines City, FL from 1971 until 2020. He is Now Pastor Emeritus. He is also the author of Things That are Different are Not the Same and The Elephant in the Living Room. Both books major on God’s promise to preserve the pure Word of God. Dr. Carter has also written Trophy of Grace which that tells of his personal testimony and his newest book His Hand Is Real.

Pastor Carter was born in Georgia but has lived in Florida since his family moved to Haines City when he was in the third grade. As a young man, he began racing cars and became well known in the area for his success in racing. He became interested in dating a young lady named Sonja Wright, but she was a Christian and said the only place she would go with him was to church. She was a member of an independent Baptist church and after a few services, he fell under conviction and was saved. Through his testimony and concern for his family, his parents and brother were soon saved, as well.

Dr. Barry Parsons

Pastor

Landmark Baptist Church

Pastor Barry Parsons is a graduate of Landmark Baptist College. In 2015 he was called to be the Assistant Pastor of Landmark Baptist Church and Executive Vice President of Landmark Baptist College. In 2017 Pastor Carter made him the Administrative Pastor overseeing all of the ministries of Landmark Baptist Church. He continued to served in that capacity until he was called and voted on to be the Pastor of Landmark Baptist Church on January 24, 2021. The next Sunday, January 31, 2021 was Anniversary Sunday and served as Pastor Parsons' first Sunday as Pastor of Landmark Baptist Church, and Pastor Carter's last Sunday as the pastor becoming the pastor emeritus. Pastor Carter became the Pastor Emeritus of Landmark Baptist Church completing 50 years of faithful service as the pastor. Pastor Carter is still serving in and through Landmark Baptist Church and its ministries.

Dr. Scott Birt graduated from Pensacola Christian College in 1980 with a bachelor’s degree and in 1983 with a Master of Science degree in Educational Administration. He also has a Doctor of Divinity from Landmark Baptist College. He has been involved in Christian Education for over 40 years. Dr. Birt made assurance of his salvation in 1999 at an evangelistic meeting. He is married and has two adult children and two grandchildren. He and his family minister in the music ministry at Landmark Baptist Church. He is a fan of NASCAR and the Florida Gators. I Corinthians 15:58 is an important verse in his life. “…be ye steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord…”

Mr. Daniel Correa

Principal

B.S. in Pastoral Theology

M.A. in Bible

Mr. Daniel Correa was born in Santiago, Chile. He was saved at the age of 10 and got reassurance at the age of 15. When he was 18, God called him to full-time Christian service. He soon moved here to attend Landmark Baptist College where he also met his wife. After college graduation they went to Chile to serve as missionaries. In 2021 Mr. Correa, his wife, and their two children moved back to Haines City and became members of Landmark Baptist Church. He is now serving LCS as the principal and also serves in the Landmark Baptist Spanish Church.

Mrs. Allison Spadano

Assistant Principal in the Elementary School

B.S. in Psychology

M.A. in Counseling Psychology

Mrs. Spadano comes to Landmark from West Chester, PA. She went to Penn State University for her undergraduate degree and Immaculata University for a masters degree in counseling psychology. She is married with three wonderful children and moved to Florida in 2015. She has worked with kids of all ages in educational and clinical settings for over 20 years. She was saved at her home church in PA in 2016.

Mrs. Amie Hogan

HS Office/Financial Secretary

Mrs. Amie Hogan was born in the Philippines. She moved and grew up in Guam where she met her husband while he was stationed in the Air Force. She was saved in 1993 at Maranatha Baptist Church in Panama, Central America. She has been married for 34 years and has 4 children and 3 grandchildren. Two of her children graduated from Landmark Christian School.

Mrs. Cindy Gillilan

Elementary Office Receptionist

Cindy Gillilan is a wife, mother of two kids . She has been a member of Landmark Baptist Church since March 2023 and is serving as the elementary receptionist . Mrs. Gillilan received Christ as her Saviour in July 2013 at Oak Hill Baptist Church in Davenport Fl.

Mr. Joshua Moore

Athletic Director

Joshua Moore is from Salisbury, Maryland. He went to Salisbury University and received his Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and his Master's Degree in Counseling. He started teaching during the 2022/2023 school year. He came to church on a bus when he was 9 years old and he learned about "being religious" but knew in his heart that he was not trusting fully in Jesus to go to heaven. One Saturday, as his youth group was passing out invitations, he realized that he needed that same trust in Jesus and he got saved that weekend.

Mr. Caleb Parsons

Assistant Librarian

Mr. Caleb Parsons is from Haines City, Florida. He was saved at the age of 16 years old in a chapel service at Landmark Christian School. Mr. Parsons graduated from Landmark in 2021. He loves serving the Lord whether through work or just by singing in church with his wife, Mrs. Hannah Parsons. He and his wife are excited to serve in the upcoming school year.
