Dr. Mickey Carter

Pastor Landmark Baptist Church

Dr. Mickey Carter has been the pastor of Landmark Baptist Church in Haines City, FL since 1971. He is also the author of Things That are Different are Not the Same and The Elephant in the Living Room. Both books major on God’s promise to preserve the pure Word of God. Dr. Carter has also written Trophy of Grace which that tells of his personal testimony and his newest book His Hand Is Real.

Pastor Carter was born in Georgia but has lived in Florida since his family moved to Haines City when he was in the third grade. As a young man, he began racing cars and became well known in the area for his success in racing. He became interested in dating a young lady named Sonja Wright, but she was a Christian and said the only place she would go with him was to church. She was a member of an independent Baptist church and after a few services, he fell under conviction and was saved. Through his testimony and concern for his family, his parents and brother were soon saved, as well.

Dr. Phil Pitts

School Administrator

Dr. Phil Pitts has over 40 years of experience. He taught Jr. High from 1975 to 1993, he was the H.S. Principal from 1993 to 1999, and he was a Landmark College professor from 1999 to 2016. From 2016 to now, he is the Administrator of Landmark Christian School. He has been married for 42 years and helps Landmark Baptist Church with other things such as Sunday School and Church buses

  

Mr. Scott Birt

M.S. in Educational Administration

Mr. Scott Birt graduated from Pensacola Christian College in 1980 with a bachelor’s degree and in 1983 with a Master of Science degree in Educational Administration. He has been involved in Christian education for over 35 years as a teacher and administrator mostly in the state of Florida. Mr. Birt is married to Brenda, an LCS teacher, and they have two children, Nathan and Natalie. He and his family minister in the music ministry at Landmark Baptist Church. He is a fan of NASCAR and the Florida Gators. I Corinthians 15:58 is an important verse in his life: “…be ye steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord…”

  

Mr. Raymond Rodriguez

Mr. Raymond Rodriguez was saved at age 11 in San Jose, CA. and Attended North Valley Baptist Church in Santa Clara, CA under Pastor Jack Trieber. He was called to preach at age 20 at Pastor’s school in Hammond, IN. After finishing His education at Golden State Baptist College in CA., He went into full time ministry as an Assistant Pastor and Senior Pastor for the last 22 years. He has been married to his wife Sandra for 25 years. He has been blessed with 4 children Ray Jr., John, James and Anneliese. He believes God has called his family to help serve at Landmark and help prepare young people for God’s will for their lives.

  

Mr. Michael Gall

B.A. in Business Administration

Michael Gall is married to his wife Renee. They have 3 children and 9 grandchildren. He was saved on March 15, 1980. Since that time, he has served in various full-time ministry positions such as: Music Director, Elementary Teacher, Athletic Director and College Dean of Men. His life verse is Proverbs 3:5-6.

  

Mrs. Allison Spadano

Parent/Teacher Liaison

B.S. in Psychology
M.A. in Counseling Psychology

Mrs. Spadano comes to Landmark from West Chester, PA. She went to Penn State University for her undergraduate degree and Immaculata University for a masters degree in counseling psychology. She is married with three wonderful children and moved to Florida in 2015. She has worked with kids of all ages in educational and clinical settings for over 20 years.

Mrs. Yvette Vargas

Born in Chicago, IL, Mrs. Vargas lived in Mayaguez P.R. for 5 years. She graduated high school and attended two years college in Chicago, IL. She was saved and baptized at the age of 12. She served as a parent volunteer for eight years. She is married and has five kids.

  

Miss. Sarah Chisgar

Miss Sarah Chisgar was born in Jacksonville, Fl, but grew up in TN. After attending Commonwealth Baptist College, She moved to Haines City to work at Landmark Christian School.  She loves working in the office because she get to see and help all the students.

  

Miss. Joleen Torres

Secretary

Miss Joleen Torres is from from Punta Gorda Florida.  She graduated from Landmark Baptist College. Her Favorite verse is Galatians 2:20 – “I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.”

  

Mrs. Amie Hogan

Financial Secretary

Amie Hogan was born in the Philippines. She moved and grew up in Guam where she met her husband while he was stationed in the Air Force. She was saved in 1995. She has been married for 30 years and have 4 children. She has 2 children attending Landmark Christian School. She is a proud grandparent of a 1 year old granddaughter.
