Dr. Phil Pitts
Dr. Phil Pitts has over 40 years of experience. He taught Jr. High from 1975 to 1993, he was the H.S. Principal from 1993 to 1999, and he was a Landmark College professor from 1999 to 2016. From 2016 to now, he is the Administrator of Landmark Christian School. He has been married for 42 years and helps Landmark Baptist Church with other things such as Sunday School and Church buses
Mr. Scott Birt
High School Principal, Government/Economics 12
Mr. Scott Birt graduated from Pensacola Christian College in 1980 with a bachelor’s degree and in 1983 with a Master of Science degree in Educational Administration. He has been involved in Christian education for over 35 years as a teacher and administrator mostly in the state of Florida. Mr. Birt is married to Brenda, an LCS teacher, and they have two children, Nathan and Natalie. He and his family minister in the music ministry at Landmark Baptist Church. He is a fan of NASCAR and the Florida Gators. I Corinthians 15:58 is an important verse in his life: “…be ye steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord…”
Mr. Larry Markowski
Athletic Director, History 8, PE Boys
Larry Markowski trusted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior in 1982. He is married to Heather Markowski and has three children. He worked at a professional golf business in New York for nearly 30 years before God called him to Florida to work at the school in August 2016.
Mrs. Heather Markowski
Elementary Office Manager, Architectural Design
Heather was born in Upstate New York and was saved at the age of 16. She went to school at Temple University and graduated with an architectural degree. She is a registered architect in the state of New York. She is married to Larry Markowski, and has three children. Her oldest two attend Landmark Baptist College and her youngest is in ninth grade at Landmark Christian School. Heather is the office manager at the Elementary School and teaches Architectural Design in the High School. She loves serving the Lord at Landmark Baptist Church and is involved in the music ministry, the ladies’ soul winning ministry, and her family has an RV park ministry in the winter months.
Mrs. Jessica Holley
High School Office Mananger
Mrs. Holley was saved in January 2001. She graduated from Landmark Freedom Baptist Curriculum in 2006. She has been married for over 10 years and has two boys that attend the school. She loves working in the H.S. office.
Mrs. Yvette Vargas
Office, Study Hall
Born in Chicago, IL, Mrs. Vargas lived in Mayaguez P.R. for 5 years. She graduated high school and attended two years college in Chicago, IL. She was saved and baptized at the age of 12. She served as a parent volunteer for eight years. She is married and has five kids.
Mrs. Adeline Carranza
Mrs. Carranza was born in Gridley, California and has four brothers and four sisters. She is married to Juan and has two sons and six grandchildren. She has been part of our ladies soulwinning club for over ten years and loves Landmark Baptist Church and her Pastor Dr. Carter. She has two grandsons currently enrolled at Landmark Christian School who love not only the academics but love learning about our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Mrs. Karen Stanek
Mrs. Stanek has been part of Landmark Baptist Church for over 15 years. She has five sons and 3 daughters. Four of her sons are United States Marines with one currently active. Three of her sons and one granddaughter have graduated from Landmark Christian School. Her daughter Leah graduated from Landmark Baptist College and is currently a teacher at Landmark. She has 2 grandsons that are currently enrolled in Landmark Christian School. She teaches the fifth grade girls sunday school class, sings in the choir, works in nursery and helps in Senior Patriots at Landmark Baptist Church.
